Sesame Street Live

So I haven't had a very good start with this blogging stuff, so I am going to try again.

We took Briley to see Sesame Street LIVE. She had a blast and loved seeing all the characters in person. She knew who everyone was! She did really well for the first half but then she and her Daddy started to get a bit restless. I think Barry got his fill of large monsters singing and dancing. Not sure if we'll get him to go again!



Elmo had just come out....I think she was confused?! Or amazed!

Briley is watching all the $10 Elmo balloons that kids let go of float to the ceiling.....

So much for a night away....

Well, I didn't make the retreat. I had been battling my sinuses all week and as the day progressed Friday, I felt worse and worse. Instead, I spent most of Friday evening and Saturday on the couch. I am feeling a little better now, still stuffy. Guess, I will try again next year!

A night away.....

No pictures for this first post, instead I thought I would let everyone know what we are up to this weekend (as practice). This afternoon, I am headed to Weatherford, TX for a women's retreat with our church. This is my first retreat and I am eager to get away and make some new friends. Barry and Briley will be hanging out awaiting the arrival of Big Momma (Barry's Mom) Saturday afternoon. By that time, I am sure I will be anxious to be home with them but in the meantime I will be enjoying "Being Still" with other women in need of a rejuvenation!
